What a day it's been here for Harvest Market!
The weather was iffy to say the least but it seems the sun was shining on Saltbox Farm despite the gray skies and mist in the air!
We have lots of pictures to share along with a few stories but right now I'm thinking it's time that I take just a bit of a break.
Will put a photo album together tomorrow to share with you and also a tale or two.
Thanks to all of you who helped to make the day such a success, wether in person or in spirit it is much appreciated.
Tomorrow.....

where did the last four days go??? Last time I posted I had seven days until Market and now it's down to 2!!!
Well, wherever the days have gone, we've been using them wisely so it seems because we are just about ready for the big day.
So mamy new things in the shop just today so we'll be busy pricing tomorrow and putting on lots of finishing touches all around. One of the items that arrived yesterday is the new Judy Condon book and it's a good one. You'll want to reserve your copy before they're gone.
Thought you might like to see some of the Sweet Annie bundles....

and gosh do they smell wonderful!
Soon,
Sharon

I think I just might see pumpkins in my sleep tonight....
pumpkin pillows, pumpkin towels, pumpkin mums and pumpkin dolls. I've spent a good deal of the holiday weekend stitching up some special pumpkin items for the shop, watering pumpkin colored mums and rearranging pumpkins, pumpkins and more....
yes, pumpkins!! Now you'll all be dreaming pumpkins and I'm sure you just won't be able to wait until you can get to the Farm to see them all in person! We have a wonderful fall selection of home decor, florals, candles, soaps, handmades and more.
We have more on the way and are busy preparing for our BIG fall event, HARVEST MARKET '09. Mark the date, September 26
9am-3pm, rain or shine. We'll be posting lots more info on this event as well as some fun things to follow so check back often to be sure you don't miss a thing!
Hope your holiday was funfilled and the week ahead just the same! Until next time....
Sharon
Thought you might like to meet Hally....isn't she sweet?

That's right, it's almost that time again....well, it is a little more than a month off but wanted to remind you to mark the date!
It's Saturday September 26, 9am - 3pm
and we're already gearing up for the day.
Many of the old favorite vendors along with a couple new ones we think you'll be pleased with.
One minor change for this year is that we'll be having a "gate". We will have a roped area where the line will form and there will be a $1.00 admission fee. We'll stamp your hand with a special stamp and at 9am the "gate" will open for entry.
The gate proceeds will be donated to the Tri County JV Basketball program as the players and parents will be here to help us out.
This will also enable us to get a "count" of how many attend as well as eliminate the problem of early shoppers.
We're praying for SHINE but the event will go on even if it does R...., not even gonna speak the word!
Any questions about our big day, don't hesitate to call us at the shop.

We can't wait for this fun day!!

Can you believe it....August, nearly mid August at that! Where has the summer gone. Here in Michigan we are just now getting some real summer weather...just in time to get the shop ready for FALL! That's right, things are starting to look a bit fallish here at Saltbox Farm....inside the shop anyway. We have some new fall scents in candles, lots of great florals and wonderful handmades are arriving daily. We have just what you need to give your home that Country touch of fall....
come see!
